Ditched my boots at the door. Ma, instead of yelling at me to pick them up and put them away, was inspired to turn it into a sketch.

Padre Pio

If you do a dedication to your father, and your mother is equally talented, go ahead and do a dedication to her as well. Ma painted, played the organ, and Dad taught her how to cook. She took it and ran with that to the point where she could eat something and figure out what ingredients were in it to about 90-95% in her first try. She was well known for her whistling. Like my father, she didn't have a lot to give you financially but she'd give you what she could. You can see some of her inspirations here in her paintings. She would sell her portraits professionally on occasion.
