In April 1991, I assigned as a Contract Administrator on the Clover Project; a five year, two unit, 786 mega-watt coal fired power plant with an approximate 900 million dollar value located in Clover Virginia. We were the Owner's site construction representatives to ensure compliance with the plans and specifications on a joint venture, joint ownership turnkey design-build project. The Clover project included the complete construction of a power plant facility including site development, building construction, generator and boiler assembly, material handling equipment, and supply and waste water facilities. My role was to coordinate the monthly billing activities between the contractor, our corporate office, and our field engineering staff. We processed the contractor's 600 page monthly application averaging 10-30 million dollars usually in three days of the allotted ten days. Other activities included material shipping documentation, schedule monitoring, general correspondence, project documentation, contract administration, and staff supervision and training. I also supervised, provided training, wrote staff used computer programs, coordinated staff engineering computer activities, and interfaced between our staff and the owner's computer technical staff or our corporate office.
