In the 12th year of the Qing Dynasty (1650), the original St. Joseph's Cathedral was built. This is the third edition of Cathedral being built in 1905 and renovated in 2000. I was not able to get into the Church. Masses in this church are conducted only in Chinese.

With only five percent of the 1.2 billion Chinese being Catholic, I was facinated by the vast number of photographers and spectators to this Cathedral. With every photo, I had to wait my turn so those that were being photographed could exit the view.

The doors were locked so I could not go inside...sorry!

With St. Joseph, there has to be a St. Mary. Photos of St. Mary's Cathedral?
